One of my favorite things about hip hip in 2014 is the emphasis placed on region. I won't bore you by listing the resurgence of each city's accompanying sound, but I will zone in on the most diverse and intriguing place in America. That is, of course, Chicago. Even more important, though, is the city's relationship with the internet. Over the past few years, we've seen social media launch the careers of Chief Keef, Chance the Rapper, and all of their hundreds of imitators. Due to the competition being at a high, young artists have stretched their boundaries in desperate hope of separating themselves from the pack.
